We saw a disconnect between traditional investment vehicles and the demand for high performance assets that individuals and families were looking for. We also noticed that the asset management and investment management industries in general lacked transparency and many of them lack that ethical values with either the investments they make or the way they do business. These two issues are worsened by the high management fees these companies charge.

We refused to sit and watch from the side-lines as individuals and families were extorted for their money by being forced to pay high fees and receiving below average market returns in exchange. In addition to the lies and false promises, investors are left without a clue of how and where their capital was being invested due to the lack of transparency which could lead to their capital being invested in companies or industries which go against their morals, values or beliefs.
